Meditation Should Be Available on the NHS

A mental health charity has recommended that meditaiton should be available on the National Health in the UK to treat ongoing periods of depression.  The Mental Health Foundation is recommending a 'mindfulness' approach which they believe could save the NHS billions.  Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) mixes meditation and cognitive therapy and is thought to halve the relapse rates of people suffering from depression.
